KOBUTSU Business License
For Re-selling used, reconditioned product in Japan.
Introduction
There is a business license called Kobutsu permission / Kobutsu-Sho License in Japan.
Business owners need to have this license when they sell/buy used products for business purpose. Kobutsu license is used for used car dealers, import/export used car business, recycle shops, and many other used item dealers.
Kobutsu license is made for preventing NOT to sell/buy or distribute any stolen items in the market. Therefore the business owners need to prepare variety of paperwork with evidences that to show the appropriate business operation for dealing with the used products. Owners may need to add business activity saying "Kobutsu business" on the articles of incorporation if there is no statement of operating Kobutsu business in it.
As each individual has different business purpose for getting this license, we arrange all the paperwork with giving proper advices for applying the Kobutsu license. There needs to have a contact to local police station in each cases, we will take this roll on behalf of the clients. It takes about 40 days after Police Station accept the documents.

Self-Check before applying for the Kobutsu License.
- Need to have a proper residential status. (Permanent, spouse of Japanese national, etc.)
- Need to have a business office with contract paper.
- Need to have a parking space, if operating used car business.
